Divine Play – Leela

Oh, disciple, if you suffer,
if you are confused or discouraged -
first investigate,
then recognize and understand -
everything in this world is “leela”,
great, beyond the borders, incomprehensive, Divine play of the Absolute Shiva,
which has neither doer,
nor actions,
nor fruits of actions to enjoy,
nor results to own
and to attribute to oneself. 

This play cannot be explained with the mind or understood, but it can be realized by you, due to faith, devotion and state of awareness beyond the mind. 

It is pointless to evaluate it,
there is no sense in reasoning about it,
Seeing it – there is no sense to worry,
It can be just watched joyfully and with awareness From non-dual meditation and acceptance Without that one who watches.
But you, oh disciple, 

because of lack of experience
You do not recognize this transcendent play And get lost in it like a fly in the web,
You do not understand that this is a play And you take it for mundane usual reality, You always worry,
Endlessly evaluate,
Contemplate on it,
Attribute results to yourself and long to Enjoy fruits of His play,
As if a foolish slave tries to attribute
the fame and the richness
of his governor,
and then you yourself suffer because of it, but this is also His play,
understand it.
