How to enroll in distance learning

Distance learning in the Sanatana Dharma World Community is carried out in the "guru-disciple" tradition, that is, the training is for those who have already decided on their spiritual path and with the master.

If you are a student of Sri Guru Swami Vishnudevanand Giri or wish to become one, then to enter the learning process you need to:

1. Take the Creed of Refuge (face-to-face).

2. Write an application on paper and send the photo of it to the mail (hidden) sadhuloka@gmail.com

• centralized or at the ashram.

• according to the system of 24 weeks with a monk-teacher or independently, in which the theory is passed by one final exam.

3. After receiving an answer, contact the monk-teacher, discuss the training option that is convenient for you, terms, and draw up a training and practice plan.

4. Get a record book and a package of books for study.

5. Start learning and practicing on the course of study.

Study Options

In the application you should select one of the following options:

in the central vidya mandala at the ashram where the Guru is located

in any of our other ashrams where there is a mahant curator.

Theory Study System

The request must include one of the following options:

Self-study theory assumes that you study the entire theory course by yourself and come to the ashram for the final theory exam. The theory includes about 200-250 questions.

The 24 week training system is an alternative training option. Here, all theory and practice is divided into 24 weeks. You receive weekly assignments from the monk-teacher and write him weekly reports on practice and clarify, if necessary, questions on theory. At the end of every 4 weeks there is a test interview with a monk-teacher. There are six such tests-interviews. Based on the results of successfully passed six tests, the theory exam is set automatically. This training system is convenient in that it is not timed. The course duration is 6 months, but it can be completed both faster and stretched for a longer time, but preferably no more than a year.

Each course includes:

• theory that you can study on your own,

• daily practice of yoga and meditation, upasana,

• retreat practice (usually 5-7 retreats for each course),

• service (minimum 1 week in any of the ashrams).
